Tattoo Process
So you want a tattoo... GREAT!! There are a few steps you can take to ensure you will get the best possible outcome! If you follow my step by step Guidelines listed below the entire tattoo process will run much smoother for both you as the client as well as me as the artist!
Step 1. What do you want Tattooed??
Deciding what you want tattooed is almost always going to be the very first step. I usually tell everyone to keep a vague idea in the beginning, Just pick between 2-5 things you know that you want incorporated in your tattoo.
Step 2. Get in Contact with My Assistant
Once you have an idea for your tattoo you will be ready to book an appointment! The only way to get in contact with him is via Email, Fill out a contact form on the Contact Info page and send your idea to [email protected] , He will let you know on my current availability or if we will need to set up a consultation as soon as I can!
Step 3. Appointment
To book an appointment it will cost a deposit of 100$. This payment is NOT an extra fee, it will be applied to the Price of the last session for your tattoo! We take a deposit for two reasons first to pay for all of the design time that goes into your tattoo before we actually tattoo it and secondly for collateral just in case, so my Assistant and I are compensated for our time if the client no call no shows to his/her Appointment. Refunds are at the discretion of the Artist.
Step 4. Before your appointment
In the days prior to your appointment make sure to :
1. Drink Plenty of Water!
2. Moisturize the area getting tattooed with a non-scented lotion a few day's before the appointment
3. Eat a proper meal the morning of the appointment and get a good night's rest the nigh before.

Step 5. Getting Tattooed
When coming into the shop to get tattooed Remember to dress accordingly, meaning think of where you are getting tattooed and choose attire that will make easy access to the area. Bring some snacks or even a lunch if you have a long session!
Step 6. Healing your Tattoo
I wrap and heal all of my clients tattoos in saniderm unless they have a known allergy to adhesives such as band-aids, tape, glue, ect. Saniderm is basically an air tight, water resistant, breathable bandage that acts as a second skin. Once the saniderm is placed leave it on for 7 days. You will start to see a murky fluid build up in the first 48 hrs, this is a small amount of ink but mostly blood, plasma, and collagen, stuff your body naturally produces to heal any wound. If the fluid starts to cause the bandage to form a bubble or just seems like an excessive amount come back within the first 48 hours to have your saniderm replaced. About day 5 all the fluid will have all just about dried up and your tattoo might be a bit itchy, do not scratch, avoid friction as this can easily cause irritation. On day 7 the best way to remove the bandage is going to be by holding it under indirect lukewarm water and peel it from the top down against itself like a banana, take your time, peel slowly, and let the water help break up the adhesive. Saniderm is water resistant NOT water proof be cautious while taking showers during the 7 day healing process, DO NOT take baths, go swimming, or take part in any water excessive activities. After the saniderm is properly removed your tattoo will be just about healed up, in the following 5-7 days you will just need to keep your tattoo moist, I recommend a non-scented lotion such as Lubriderm-Tattoo-Daily-Care-Lotion , Make sure to moisturize around 3-5 times a day, use a small amount of moisturizer to allow the tattoo to breath but remember to do that multiple times throughout the day to keep your tattoo hydrated.
